In August, IHG Hotels & Resorts released earnings for the first half of the year. Among the findings: major companies are focusing on destination-driven corporate gatherings vs. large-scale conferences and events. Driven by its Essentials Collection, including Holiday Inn, avid hotels, and Holiday Inn Express, as well as its Suites Collection, which includes Staybridge Suites, the company is seeing a measured recovery in group bookings and occupancy.
