A historic revival at InterContinental Mark Hopkins

With elegant gold and ivory walls, floor-to-ceiling windows and a well-known legacy of hosting countless royals, presidents, performers and celebrities, The Peacock Court grand ballroom at the InterContinental Mark Hopkins is a favorite of the San Francisco elite.
The 4,400-square-foot ballroom with room for 800 guests has been given a complete redesign. The intricate trim has been painted gold to contrast with a mint-colored ceiling, and three new crystal chandeliers have been added. Mint-green velvet curtains frame the stage, where a golden peacock looks out over the room. Gold damask curtains hang from the oversized arched windows.
Combining classic charm with state-of-the-art technology, the hotel’s meeting rooms offer 19,000 square feet of spaces that exude historic character and modern comforts. From seminars and workshops to board meetings and corporate expos, the elegant yet flexible venues are suited for business or social events.
The InterContinental Mark Hopkins stands at the crest of Nob Hill, on a commanding site once occupied by the gabled Victorian mansion of railroad magnate Mark Hopkins.
