The Covid-19 pandemic has halted meetings and conferences across the globe, but the Explore Asheville Convention & Visitors Bureau wants to stay on the radar of meeting planners.

The bureau has released a series of virtual tools to help support meeting planners and local industry partners, including a new video overview of Asheville, sneak-peek virtual site tours of hotels, and insights on how the Blue Ridge Mountain city can exceed planners’ top-level needs when it’s time to meet again in person.

In addition, the team has also launched the “Asheville Cares Meet Safe Pledge,” designed to lay out the shared responsibility for safe meetings, health-related guidelines and precautions necessary for a safe restart of meetings. Explore Asheville wants to be meeting planners’ trusted source to relay community regulations, protocols and the status of area venues and suppliers that may affect prospective events, while also offering solutions.
