IMEX America Daily Update 1 - Monday November 8, 2021

The IMEX America Daily Update provides you with a quick overview of things to consider at our yearly tradeshow of the global business events community in Las Vegas. Our 'anchorman' Gerrit Heijkoop (Mr. Red Sneakers) share with you what's going on this day, the latest headlines from our exhibitors and partners and his favourite daily Las Vegas Tip. Here;'s what he had to say about IMEX America on Monday November 8th, 2021: Hello, this is the IMEX America Daily on Monday November 8 (also known as Smart Monday). My name is Gerrit Heijkoop and I’ll be bringing you news from IMEX America every day this week, as we welcome the global business events community back to Las Vegas for the first time since 2019. Great to be back! Here are just a few of the things happening at IMEX America today. High-level corporate executives, association leaders and corporate planners are gathering for tailored education and networking, including Executive Meeting Forum, sponsored by Caesars Entertainment and Notified, Association Leadership Forum, sponsored by Amsterdam Convention Bureau and Corporate Focus. Powered by MPI, our Smart Monday program sees a series of stellar speakers take to the stage, from keynote Dr Shimi Kang, through headliners David Allison, Valuegraphics, explorer Daniel Fox, Event Design Collective’s Ruud Janssen and Roel Frissen, and Janet Sperstad from Madison College. Not to be missed events, include She Means Business by IMEX and TW magazine, supported by MPI and sponsored by Visit Fort Worth, as well as a half-day masterclass in event planning from EventMB at their Event Innovation Lab. Plus we’ll be clocking up the miles as we take part in the Maritz Global Events Wellbeing Challenge, presented by Caesars Entertainment and powered by Heka Health. All that before the much-anticipated return this evening of SITE Nite North America, at the brand-new Resorts World Las Vegas. And with the final touches being made to the IMEX America exhibit hall in the Mandalay Bay Convention center, here’s the headline news from our IMEX America exhibitors and partners: ICCA give us their forecasts for the future, as they set out their plans to drive towards a more sustainable, more inclusive business events industry Our sustainability consultants, MeetGreen, explain how IMEX America’s long-term sustainability initiatives are being integrated at our new venue, Mandalay Bay – and how you can play your part in making this our most sustainable show yet etc venues 360 Madison Avenue New York have just been voted Best Convention Center in the World at the 2021 Stella Awards. Congratulations! And Jamaica is just one destination reporting positive news, as they rebound from the pandemic, with additional airlift, the successful Jamaica CARES program, and more than 4,800 rooms scheduled to be added to the island’s room stock by the end of 2023 I’d like to end our bulletin with my top Vegas tip for today: Book a table at IMEX team favourite Border Grill, Mandalay Bay for a delicious plate of modern Mexican food and an-ice cold glass of sangria. Actually, that’s not my top tip, it’s one I stole from the latest blog from the IMEX editorial team – 10 unmissable things to do in Las Vegas. So that’s my top tip – head on over to imexexhibitions.com and read the blog.
