The homecoming continues at IMEX America

The IMEX America Daily Update provides you with a quick overview of things to consider at our yearly tradeshow of the global business events community in Las Vegas. Our 'anchorman' Gerrit Heijkoop (Mr. Red Sneakers) shares with you what's going on this day, the latest headlines from our exhibitors and partners and his favourite daily Las Vegas Tip. Here;'s what he had to say about IMEX America on Wednesday November 10th, 2021: Hello, this is the IMEX America Daily on Wednesday November 10. My name Gerrit Heijkoop and today we continue our coverage of the global events industry’s homecoming show. Let’s look at just 4 of the cool things happening at IMEX America today: 1. Depending on when you’re watching this, you’re either one of hundreds of runners heading out the door for the IMEXrun, developed by Voqin and sponsored by Simpleview, or you’ve done your 5k and are ready to face the rest of the day! 2. At today’s MPI keynote, Eric Qualman will share the art of being ‘flawsome’, that’s falling fast, forward, and better – as he reveals the five habits to success and happiness in an ever-changing world. 3. Are you aware that our future leaders are amongst us here today? Today we see talented students, who are considering a career in our wonderful industry, arrive at IMEX America for the two-day IMEX-MPI-MCI Future Leaders Forum. 4. There’s only one place to be on a Wednesday evening during IMEX America week – and that’s cocktail-in-hand, soaking up the spectacular views, and wonderful company at MPI Foundation Rendezvous on Drai’s dazzling rooftop. We’re looking forward to seeing you there! And now for the latest news from the IMEX America show floor: 1. Over at the IMEX-EIC People & Planet Village, you can support us as we work to reduce our environmental impact and support our local community. While doing so, you will find out what you can do to support both people and planet at your own events. 2. Have you ever wanted to take your events to new depths? Well now you can at the new museum Vrak, Museum of Wrecks, in Stockholm, Sweden, which transports visitors to the bottom of the Baltic Sea. 3. London’s hotels and venues have used the quieter times during the pandemic to integrate sustainability into everything they do, from using reclaimed materials in design, to maintaining living rooftops full of vegetables and bees, to planting trees in London’s iconic Hyde Park. 4. In Milwaukee, the Wisconsin Center District has broken ground on the construction site for the Wisconsin Center expansion. With a planned quarter 1, 2024 open date, the expanded Wisconsin Center will offer 445,000 square feet of total convention space, including a rooftop ballroom with a terrace overlooking downtown Milwaukee. I’d like to end as always with my top Vegas tip for today: As we all know our industry runs on connections, hard work, dedication and innovation, but most importantly – on coffee. And the IMEX America show floor is where you can find some of the best coffee in the world, whether you prefer a smooth Colombian or a distinctive Italian espresso. Head over to the Colombia and Italy booths to start your day in the best possible way. Thank you for watching this update all the way to the end. You’re the best!
