Lima ranks among the best in South America for meetings

The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) ranked Lima as the second best city in South America and the third best in Latin America for the development of meeting tourism, due to its capacity to host first-class events.
Minister of Foreign Trade and Tourism Juan Carlos Mathews highlighted the importance of this distinction to position Peru as one of the main destinations for conferences, congresses and meetings of worldwide relevance.
"The meetings industry continues to take on great relevance in the economies of the world. This distinction forces us to continue articulating efforts to climb positions and also place other cities in our country, such as Cusco and Arequipa, for example, among the main venues for international events," said the minister.
