Mob Museum earns international awards and accolades
Las Vegas Weekly’s 2023 Best of Las Vegas has awarded the Reader’s Choice honor for Best Museum to The Mob Museum, the National Museum of Organized Crime and Law Enforcement. The museum also earned praise from TripAdvisor, who named it among the “top 10% of attractions in the world.”
The Best Museum award and top-attraction distinction represent recurring wins for The Mob Museum, which has seen more than 3.2 million visitors since opening its doors in downtown Las Vegas in 2012.
The Mob Museum provides visitors with a close-up look into the history of organized crime and its impact on American Society. The museum attributes its success to immersive storytelling, historical artifacts and engaging exhibits, such as a Crime Lab, Firearm Training Simulator and Organized Crime Today display. It is also home to The Underground, a Prohibition-era exhibition featuring a speakeasy and distillery that serves craft cocktails and offers tours.
“We are thrilled to receive these awards, which underscore the dedication and passion of our entire organization,” said Ashley Miller, the museum’s vice president of marketing, communications and sales. “Our goal has always been to offer an enriching and engaging exploration of the history of organized crime and the tireless efforts of law enforcement to combat it, all while delivering an unforgettable experience to our guests.”
The 2023 Best of Las Vegas awards were announced on August 10 and appear in Las Vegas Weekly’s published August 10 issue.
