Sheraton San Diego celebrates new ways to eat and greet
Four new food and beverage options are coming to Harbor Island's Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina, including a new Cali-Baja inspired restaurant and a craft beer pub.
As part of Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina's nearly $90 million renovation, the downtown property will add four new food and beverage outlets. The first to unveil will be Rumorosa, which will be the hotel's signature restaurant. Designed by hospitality and multi-residential design firm Forrest Perkins, Rumorosa aims to transport guests to the coastal landscapes of Baja. The menu will be inspired by the culinary styles of Southern California and Baja Mexico, with dishes like aguachiles, tortas and tacos, served alongside updated all-day classics. From the bar, Rumorosa will offer a cocktail list centered around Mexican spirits including tequila, mezcal, sotol, charanda and tepache, as well as adult aguas frescas, a curated selection of Mexican lagers and regional wines from Baja California.
Sheraton San Diego Hotel's new chef, Chef Marcos Seville, will oversee all dining operations. Seville most recently served as resort executive chef at the prestigious Naples Grande Beach Resort in Naples, Florida. In addition to Rumorosa, which is named after the Spanish word for "boisterous," the property will also have new concepts Brewery X craft beer pub, Sunglow harbor-side bar and cabana club, and Strada, an Italian-inspired casual grab-and-go eatery.
